Model Safeguarding policies for Buddhist organisations
The NBO is committed to Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and to encouraging other Buddhist charities in this responsibility, as required by the Charity Commission.
See the NBO’s own policies.
You are welcome to use and adapt these model policies as appropriate for your Buddhist organisation. The NBO cannot accept responsibility for any shortcomings in the documents or for their being completely up to date in meeting nationally agreed Safeguarding requirements. You are advised to check your final drafts with specialist safeguarding bodies such as the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service, which provides external advice on Safeguarding for all faith traditions in the UK.
